How to Play Five Digits of Pi

What is Five Digits of Pi?

Five Digits of Pi is a daily mathematical puzzle game similar to Wordle, but with pi digits! Your goal is to find a hidden 5-digit sequence within the first 1,000+ digits of Pi. Each day features a new challenge with the same target sequence for all players.

How do I play this Pi digit game?

Click on any digit in the Pi grid to select a 5-digit sequence starting from that position. Submit your guess and get color-coded feedback: green for correct digits in correct positions, orange for correct digits in wrong positions, and gray for digits not in the target sequence.

What do the direction arrows mean?

The direction hints help you locate the target sequence: a blue up arrow (↑) means the target appears earlier in Pi's digits, a red down arrow (↓) means it appears later, and a target symbol (🎯) means you found the exact position!

How can I find digits easier in the Pi grid?

Use the digit highlighter buttons (0-9) to illuminate all instances of specific digits in different colors. You can highlight multiple digits simultaneously to spot patterns and potential sequences. Press the "Clear All" button to remove highlighting.

Can I get unlimited guesses?

Each game normally allows 5 guesses, but you can enable "∞ Guesses" mode once per game for unlimited attempts. This is perfect for learning or when you're stuck on a particularly challenging sequence.

How is this similar to Wordle?

Like Wordle, you get limited guesses (5) and receive color-coded feedback after each attempt. The main difference is that instead of finding a 5-letter word, you're finding a 5-digit sequence hidden within Pi's digits. It's the same satisfying puzzle format, just with numbers instead of letters.
